TL DR Virgin keeps restricting my work's VPN resulting in me being kicked offline every 5 mins. Where can I go from here? Am I able to leave early and escape their disconnection fee? Has anyone encountered a similar problem? I even had one IT guy in India (or another Asian country) hang up on me when I said what my problem was. Could this be something to do with my router settings? They're not interested in talking to me anymore. Virgin insist it's not them, and are ignoring my complaints. I can't upload big documents as it'll cut out half way through when Virgin kicks me off. It disconnects me from meetings and calls every 5 minutes. So as a result, basically when I'm at home, I can't work properly. I have tried connecting the laptop to other WiFi networks and there are absolutely no problems. Virgin says they don't restrict VPNs (work VPNs or otherwise) and the IT department at work says it's Virgin and there's nothing else they can do about it. ![]() I have spent roughly 2 days on phones to Virgin and my department's IT department. ![]() This is happening every 5 minutes, of every day, for about 3 months. Since about July, every 5 minutes roughly, Virgin has kicked me off my work's VPN (the "Cisco Any Connect keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, whatever that is) and then reconnected me. To review the current crypto core allocation, run the command show crypto accelerator load-balance. The command reference can be found here: Command Reference. There's no way around this, for security. If the VPN headend is only terminating SSL sessions or only IPsec sessions, this command can be considered for further optimization of the VPN headend. My works laptop connects to the department's VPN whenever I turn my laptop and connect it to VM. ![]() I have numerous complaints logged with VM which are getting ignored.īasically, I work for a government department, and since March we've had to work from home constantly (although we've been allowed into the office at 20% max capacity since beginning of September). TL DR at bottom, but you'll need to read it to fully understand.
